Use of the site

You may use the site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use the site in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it, or interfere with any other party’s use of the site.

Automated scraping, data mining, and unauthorized use of our content, imagery, or branding are not permitted.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, photography, illustrations, the HVP name and logo, and site design — is owned by the Hydroponic Venture Project or used under license, and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

You may share, quote, or link to our content for educational, press, or non-commercial purposes as long as you credit HVP. For commercial use, reproduction of the HVP logo, or use of our imagery in your own materials, please email us first.

Submissions through our forms

When you submit information through our contact, intake, or chapter application forms, you grant HVP permission to use that information to respond to you, to evaluate a potential partnership, and to contact you about the program. We will not publish your name, message, or contact details publicly without your permission.

Do not submit confidential information, protected health information, or information belonging to students or minors that you do not have authorization to share.

Donations

Donations are processed by Stripe. By donating, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method for the amount you selected, and you agree to Stripe’s own terms of service and privacy policy.

The Hydroponic Venture Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 93-1405024). Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. We will send an email acknowledgment; for tax purposes, keep your donation confirmation as a receipt.

Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error or was unauthorized, email hydroponicventure@gmail.com within 30 days of the transaction and we will review the request in good faith.

Links to other sites

The site may contain links to third-party sites (partner organizations, press coverage, Instagram, payment processors). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those third-party sites. Visiting them is at your own discretion and governed by their terms, not ours.

Disclaimers

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. Impact numbers, program details, and partner information are provided in good faith and updated periodically, but may not reflect real-time changes between updates.

Information on the site is for general informational purposes. It is not medical, nutritional, educational, or legal advice. Schools, teachers, and families should make program decisions with their own professionals.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Hydroponic Venture Project, its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the site, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or service interruption.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Hydroponic Venture Project and its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the site in violation of these terms or applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the site at any time, for any reason, without notice. The sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will continue to apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged in the intro; your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
